Eve Marie Torres (born May 5, 1984)[2] is an American dancer and model of Latina and Cherokee descent, currently working for World Wrestling Entertainment on its SmackDown! brand. Torres was the winner of the 2007 Diva Search.

life
Eve was born in Boston, Massachusetts and grew up in Denver, Colorado. Torres attended the University of Southern California on a full tuition scholarship.
During college, she was one of the founding members of the Omega Phi Beta sorority chapter on her campus and held the vice-president position for
several years.[3] While in Omega Phi Beta, Eve was awarded for Academic Excellence at
the Order of Omega Greek Awards.[4][5] She was also the co-captain of the USC Fly Girls and created much of
their choreography.[6] She graduated in 2006 with a degree in Industrial and Systems
Engineering.

modeling and acting
She quickly began her career as a professional hip hop/ballroom/lyrical/jazz dancer and model.[2] She was a member of the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers Spirit Dance Team for the 2006-2007 season.[7] She also appeared on "Show Me The Money" as a Million Dollar Dancer. Aside from
dancing, Torres has done some acting and has appeared on shows including "Days of our Lives", "The Drop", and "The Underground". Torres is known for her strong passion for charity
work and has contributed to charities including Victim’s Rights Awareness, Rock the Vote/Voto Latino 2004, The Children’s Hospital, St. Jude’s Children’s
Hospital.[citation needed]

Search
Torres entered WWE's Diva Search during the Summer of 2007. She was chosen to be one of the eight
finalists to compete at the chance for $250,000 and a one year contract with World Wrestling Entertainment. On October 29, 2007,in Philadelphia live on Raw, she was crowned the 2007 WWE Diva Search winner;
defeating finalist Brooke Gilbertsen and becoming an official WWE Diva.[8][9][10] On December 20, 2007, it was announced she had received her wrestling license in the state of Kentucky and as of January 4, 2008, had started training in Ohio Valley Wrestling.[11]

Promos of Eve coming to SmackDown! began airing on January 11, 2008 the promo aired for 3 weeks before Eve made her official debut in Reading PA on the
February 1, 2008 edition of Smackdown interviewing former World Heavyweight Champion Batista.[12] Eve interviewed Edge on the February 8 edition of Smackdown. On the February 29 edition of Smackdown, Eve debuted her theme music. On the March 7, 2008 edition of SmackDown! Eve competed in a Swimsuit Competition, along with Cherry, Maryse, Michelle McCool, and Victoria. In the end, Eve got into a heated battle with Maryse. The following week,
she competed in an obstacle course. The next week, she competed in a arm wrestling challenge, losing to Victoria in the first round. She was the third diva
eliminated from the "Divas Competition". Later in the night she was the special guest referee for the Cherry and Michelle vs Maryse and
Victoria 'Wet and Wild' tag team match. Torres appeared at Wrestlemania 24 as a Lumberjill in the BunnyMania Match. Torres was also on an edition
of ECW, in a Divas Dance Off contest, hosted by Tazz. It included Layla, Maryse, Lena Yada, Kelly Kelly, and Torres herself. At the end Kelly
Kelly won the contest.

In addition to dancing, she also loves aerobics, running, and kickboxing.[7] She has also demonstrated the ability to solve a
3x3x3 Rubik's cube puzzle in less than five minutes, as seen when she appeared on
